On 26th April 26, 2017, the activist Jorge Luis Feria Jardines was arrested by agents of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) as he was walking down the street called april 1st. The cause of the detention was that supposedly he was going to put some forms on the public highway. Due to the force used by state agents at the time of the arrest, the activist suffered a fracture in his right arm. In addition, the agents threatened to kill him if they found out that he, or any of the people with him, continued to put up any forms or if anti-revolutionary signs appeared somewhere else in the neighborhood.
