"When Magaly Broche De La Cruz, a lady in white, was arriving from Argentina to Abel Santa María airport, after traveling there by invitation of the Center for the Opening and Development of Latin America (CADAL), the authorities of Migarción took her suitcases and put them in an isolated place. There, the authorities had a dog that smelled the luggage, the authorities insisted several times that the dog stopped and smelled them. Disagreeing with this procedure, the activist protested and expressed her beliefs about the authorities' actions, because even newspapers and sports supplements could be confiscated in Cuba. The authorities responded by repeatedly telling the activist to stop protesting that she could be taken away for Desacato, and others close to her began to look at the activist for her behavior. Most people at the scene said nothing, although authorities intended to confiscate all her belongings. The activist demanded the Confiscation Act to keep a record of what was done to her, which was given to her.
