President of National Front Frente Nacional Orlando Zapata Tamayo

He was violently arrested together with his wife. He was beaten and threatened. The State Security agents tried to strangle him twice and he lost consciousness. He was thrown against the walls of the offices and injected with an unknown substance, presumably to help him recover. His house was vandalized. He was in prison for 17 years before for having spoken publicly against the regime.
