Yenni is a transgender person. On that day, she was sitting on a park bench in Maceo Park in Ciego de Ávila. Suddenly, a policeman came to her and asked for her ID. Without any explanation, she told her she has to accompany him to the nearest National Revolutionary Police Station (PNR). Yenni asked, what had she done and told the policeman that park is a public place accessible to anybody. The policeman told her that the park is troubled by public prostitution and the best she can do is to be quiet. Then she was pushed to the patrol car and driven to the PNR Station. When they arrived, Yenni was fined $30.00 to be paid within 7 days. At 2 am, she was released.
