In the afternoon hours, on 23 March 2021, an activist from the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), Alberto Lavato Soa, was a victim of degrading treatment committed by a National Revolutionary Police (PNR) official known as Santiago Delfino. The official was shouting on the activist that he was a black criminal right on the street. This provoked the activist to shout back that the regime was murderous and criminal.
