Julia Martínez González was detained for 6 hours for traveling to another province

Julia Martínez González was arrested while trying to travel to the province of Santiago de Cuba in order to visit her doctor. The State Security officer named Kelvin told her that she could not continue her trip due to a national order made because of the transportation of Fidel's remains. Julia began to protest saying that she was not Fidel's family and that she had a medical appointment with the ophthalmologist to set the date of her operation. The State Security officer Kelvin told her sarcastically that she was going to be operate but in the unit of Operations (police unit called Operaciones), that she was detained and not by a doctor. She remained for approximately 6 hours in an office and released with a fine of 1000 pesos and threatened with - in case of trying to travel again - going to the prison for disobedience.
