Cuban detained for 4 days when he went to another province to set the day of an operation

George Matos Martinez was detained at a police check point on the road to Santiago de Cuba by the State Security Officer named Kelvin, when he attempted to travel to the province of Santiago de Cuba to a medical appointment to set up the day of his mothers eye surgery, since she is visually weak and has a severe cataract. The officer told him that he had orders not to let anyone travel to any province, that the country was mourning the death of Fidel Castro. Martinez explained once again his mother's situation and said he had nothing to do with Fidel's death, but they responded by immobilizing him, throwing him on the floor, putting him in handcuffs so tight that it hurt his wrist, and he ended up with several blows to the face. He was put in patrol car no. 632 and taken to the State Security operations unit, where he was held in solitude for four days. The Lieutenant Odelin informed him that he was accused of contempt of authority. Now, George Matos Martinez is awaiting the legal proceedings for defending his mother's right to health.
