Citizen critic of the government deprived of liberty for alleged loss of materials in his work

The victim was working as a warehouse manager for cyclone victims. The heads of the entity gave written orders to take out construction materials such as cement, roof tiles and sticks, among others. Later, in an audit of the warehouse, missing material was detected. Despite the fact that the victim demonstrated how the materials were removed, he was held responsible and the prosecutor imposed him a preventive detention measure. The victim believes that these facts are reprisals against him for being an opponent of the government and for expressing the reality that Cubans are currently living.
