Niober García Fournier had a ticket to travel to the Czech Republic and then to Ireland, with the aim of participating in an event for human rights activists. When he tried to cross the immigration department in terminal three of the José Martí International Airport, the officials who were in the aforementioned department prevented him from making the trip. They claimed that he himself had a restriction that prohibited him from leaving the national territory, so he could not travel.
