Rubén Torres Saiz was going to join a protest march Todos Marchamos organized by the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU). Suddenly, he was detained by political police officers and taken out from the car by force. Then he had to wait sideways of the road along with other UNPACU activists. Several hours later, he was put in a car and driven to the National Revolutionary Police in Mella. There he was threatened with death if he kept being engaged in UNPACU activities. He was released after eight hours in detention.
