Former political prisoner Félix Navarro Rodríguez left his house in the municipality of Perico together with another activist from the Party for Democracy - Pedro Luis Boitel Abraham. They were on their way to Colon, but when they walked some 200 metres, they were stopped by a crew of the patrol car no. 207 and a political police officer. The young officer from the Intelligence Directorate (known as G-2) told him that he cannot leave his house and he should also inform about it his daughter. Navarro Rodríguez asked him to show an official document which would justify such proceedings. The young G-2 officer (who never identified himself) said that "there is not, it is as always". Navarro Rodríguez had an argument with the officer who eventually told him to go back home otherwise will be taken to the police station. The other activist could continue his journey and Felix Navarro decided to go back home where he and his daughter are kept under permanent watch of political police, law enforcement officers and their collaborators and informers.
