On August 17, at 12.50 pm, Nelson Acosta Ríos was detained by two political police officers known as Yaramís and Daniel. At 1:05 p.m. Patrol car number 208 arrived (with the policemen no.14024 and 14390) and transferred him and another activist Francisco Rangel Manzano to the Police Station of Colón. There Nelson become the victim of Yaramís's excessively arrogant attitude and abuse of the power of his position. He pushed him several times and he told him in an extremely vulgar way, that he have told him before that he could not come to Colón anymore. He added, that if they saw him again, they would draw him from there by "kicking his ass". He was finally released at 2:05 p.m.
