Citizen goes on a hunger strike to express his hopelessness regarding his housing issues

On 10 September 2020, a citizen from Antilla, 47 years old Miguel Guilarte Leyva, decided to sew his lips with a thick wire and to go on a hunger strike. The reason for taking this step was an official decision where his house was declared to be in a state of dilapidation. Originally, the authorities promised him some help with restoration, but this was completely abandoned. Guilarte Leyva was so desperate that he made this risky decision in order to draw attention to his case.
