Alexander Chacón Lamoth was going to participate in a protest march which was being held to demand the release of political prisoners and the end of political repression. On his way, he was detained by State Security official Alex and taken to the police station where he was threatened and intimidated for his activism in favour of human rights. He was released several hours later.
