The activist Marcos Antonio was going to take part in the Sunday Mass held throughout Cuba asking for the release of political prisoners as well as for social and political changes on the island. At 6:30 am, Marcos Antonio was arrested by the Officer Kevin and taken to the police unit known as Operations. There, they threatened him with being about to go to prison for meeting with the counterrevolutionaries. They let him leave at 10 am on the same day.
