Activist detained by the State Security while heading to the church



Bartolo Cantillo Romero is a human rights defender and a collaborator of the Ladies in White. On 10 November, he was detained by the State Security (DSE) official known as Edwin Jefferson or Kevin together with two unidentified policemen. This happened when he was passing through the street La Avenida and Pedro Agustín Pérez, heading to the Santa Catalina de Ricci Church with an intention to attend the Sunday Mass. Then he was taken to the police unit in the municipality of El Salvador. He was released on the next day at about 12 pm without any further consequences.
