On 23 February, 2019, at about 10:30 am, Aurelio Cabrera González, an activist from Sancti Spíritus who is a member of the Cuban Reflection Movement (MCR), was arrested in his house and driven in a Lada car to the provincial headquarter of the secret police (known as VIVAC), located in the city. There he was kept in a prison cell until the next day. Before his release at 8 am, he was also threatened.
