Juan Luis, activist of the Union for a Free Cuba Party (PUNCLI) and leader and promoter of the Emilia Project, was arrested on June 28 when he was outside his home, two agents of the State Security (DSE) got out of a patrol car, jumped on him, took his phone and put him in the police car. They took him to the DSE detention center known as Operaciones. There the agents told him that he had been detained because of a publication he had made on social networks (FACEBOOK) in which he incited Cuban military personnel to lay down their arms and stand with the people in their struggle to reclaim their rights. He was released around five o'clock in the afternoon after being told that his cell phone with which he made the aforementioned publication would be confiscated.
