Activist fined and arrested for protesting



During the morning of 30th November, activists from the Orlando Zapata Tamayo Civic Action Front and from the Vicente Méndez Hernández Movement, took the streets from Central Havana in a civic protest against the Constitutional Reform project and the attitude of the National Assembly towards the people. The protest was put down by forces from the State’s Security Department (DSE) and the police. The activist Emir González Janero and the other protesters were arrested. Before their released, they were fined $150 Cuban pesos (€5) under the crime of violating the security perimeter.
