Independent journalist interrogated and threatened by the State Security

On 23 January 2019 at 9 am, Roberto was summoned by Major Giovanis Hodelin Lamoth to the State Security detention center known as Operations. When he arrived, he was received and interrogated by official called Víctor Víctor and Lieutenant Torres, both agents of the State Security (DSE). They issued for Roberto an official warning for "usurpation of functions" when he was allegadly providing information against the international peace. According to the official, he was not even registered to be able to work as a journalist. He was threatened with imprisonment if he continued writing articles for Cubanet and cooperating on the Tomas Cardoso's program in Radio Martí. The interrogation took about 2 hours.
