Lady in White from Jovellanos detained, fined and driven out of the city

Annia Zamora Carmenate along with Dianelis Moreno were detained when they were leaving the house of Leticia Ramos after having brought her quail eggs for her ill father. The detention took place based on an order of Arian Franquiz, a secret police officer. Both women were put in the patrol car no. 205 and driven to the police station in Cárdenas. When they arrived, Annia was taken to an office where two uniformed women had been already waiting. She was instructed to take off her pullover and shoes and her bag was confiscated. Before her release, she was fined 30 pesos under the Decree 141 without being explained why. At 1:35 pm, she was left out of the city, in the zone called El Pulmón.
