On Wednesday November 11 at about 12:00 am, Abel Jesús Estrada Hernández was performing his journalistic work, covering demolitions of buildings where police and government officials were involved. Jesus Abel Hernandez Estrada was arbitrarily detained by the police patrol 208. They took his camera. He was taken to the unit 004 Colon under an arrest warrant for several days for assault on an inspection. She accused him of having taken the papers and having spoken out against government leaders. Abel Estrada said that all this was a manipulation of the organs of state security for his work because the inspectors were in his house in Octubre 28. He declared hunger strike refusing to ingest food or water during the duration of his detention. He had to be taken twice to a health facility by symptoms of hypoglycemia.
Her wife was presented to the police unit together with the director of ICLEP in Cuba Raul Risco to know the legal status of Abel and instructor Tatiana.
