The sector chief Captain Vilmay, along with other police officials, went to house of Rodriguez Leon to carry out a house search, because he had allegedly committed a burglary. He was driven by force to the National Revolutionary Police in El Salvador. He was interrogated by an instructor Ravelo who proposed him to cooperate with the government as an informant. Leovanis was detained for 11 days and then he was transported to the prison in Guantánama where he remains to be preventively detained.
