Citizen threatened with prison for participating in civil society meetings

On 12th September, the citizen was summoned to the National Revolutionary Police sector, in the south of the city of Guatanamo. The official Raúl threatened him saying that he would go to prison and lose his job for participating in contra revolutionary meetings (that were being supervised by the security forces). Besides, the official told him that they had the means to end and imprison all of them for more than 15 years for activities addressed to end with Fidel Castro’s revolution. Thereon, the victim expressed that in this meetings they just talk about rights and ideas to improve human co-habitation, not about acts of vandalism or terrorism as the officials claim.
