Independent journalist detained in Havana



Magaly Norvis was detained along with Roberto Jesús Guerra Pérez in Infanta Avenue in Havana. They were going to Vedado zone in Havana in order to take pictures of the crackdown against women from Ladies in White movement. She was taken to the Police Department in Cerro, Havana where she was kept for several hours. After that, she was driven to the detention center known as Vivac where she was detained for another couple of hours. During her detention, Magaly was kept in a dark prison cell.
