Activist arrested after honoring the Apostle



On Sunday, January 28 at 2:20 p.m., Asunción Carrillo Hernández, along with other members of the Party for Democracy of Pedro Luis Boitel Abraham, returned from the park where they had tried to pay homage to the Apostle. While on the Central Highway, they were stopped by the political police officers who call themselves Walter and Yurien. They ordered Hernández to get in the patrol car and they took her to the Police Station of the Colón municipality. During the time in which she was detained, the corresponding arrest record was not taken and she was not allowed to make a telephone call as established by law. The agent imposed a fine of $150.00 pesos of national currency (4.6 euro) and she was released at 4:00 p.m.
