UNPACU activist transferred to a punishment cell for no apparent reason where he was to remain for 3 months

Eider Frometa Allen, UNPACU human rights activist, is being held in the maximum security prison Kilo 8 in Camaguey. On March 28, the prison leadership took him to the punishment cell under the argument that the decision had been made for security reasons and that he should be there for 3 months. Eider went on hunger strike, and on April 11 he received a visit from the head of State Security, who told him that he should go back to eat in order to take him to the hospital. After being medically discharged on April 15, he was returned to his detachment.
