The activist Rolando Mesa was summoned to the 24th park unit on the morning of September 4th, 2020 where he was attended to by Department of State Security (DSE) officer Victor who threatened him that this was the last time he would see him go to prison for visiting the homes of counterrevolutionaries Bartolo Cantillo Romero and Henry Couto Guzmán, whom he described as "in the service of the imperialists" and of José Daniel Ferrer Garcia. The victim was also accused for some flyers that appeared in the prison plan of confidence. The officer went on to say that he knew that the victim was recruited, but that he could save himself if he declared that they pay him and give him tasks to sabotage the revolution, and they would leave him alone. The victim refused the officer’s proposal, and the officer responded by telling the victim that it was his problem and that the next day, they would give him a surprise.
