Edilberto Arzuaga Arcala is an activist from the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), who is currently being imprisoned in the Kilo 8 Prison in the province of Guantánamo. He was suspended from his right to use the phone for about two months. The reason was that he was complaining to Ovidio Martín Castellanos about human rights violations committed by prison military officers towards the prisoners. Lieutenant Colonel Juan Miguel Sánchez Duarte along with a State Security official assigned to the prison were responsible for implementing this measure.
