Carlos Olivera Martínez along with 4 other activists of the Party for the Democracy Pedro Luis Boitel were near to the Municipal Court of Colón when they were intercepted by a Major of the National Police Luis Gustavo Sotolongo Garcia and other officers. They prevented them from reaching the tribunal to witness oral hearing of the trial of Lázaro Díaz Sánchez. Carlos Olivera was immediately introduced in the police car 832 and led to the police station. The officer with plaque ID 14448 issued a warning ordered by Major Luis Gustavo Sotolongo Garcia and imposed a fine of thirty pesos ($ 30.00 CUP). Olivera Martínez demanded to see the warning and after reading it, he wrote there everything that had actually happened at the time of the arrest; then he signed it. He was released after 5 hours.
