Fired because of his relations with the opposition

Yoel Alvarez Carrillo publicly criticized the current situation of the country, the scarcity of food and the lack of work for young people, which leads to greater social delinquency. He emphasized that a large part of the society disagrees with the draft of the new Constitution of the Republic and that it will not bring any improvement of the situation. Consequently he was arrested by the Chief of the Sector, policemen and agents of the State Security. The arrest was violent, they applied arm braces, hit his face and they bruised his joints. Then they took him to the Operations Unit of State Security and there they accused him of resistance and elaboration of protest against State Security. He is pending in the Prison of Guantanamo awaiting the trial.
