Lady in White locked for 12 hours in a prison cell in the police station



On Sunday, 18 August 2019, at 6 am, a representative of the Ladies in White in Guantánamo, Celina Osoria Claro, was detained along with her husband. The reason was to prevent them from participating in Sunday Mass carried out in the Santa Catalina de Ricci Church. Celina and her husband were driven in the patrol car no. 616 to the police station in El Salvador. There, they were both kept detained for 12 hours in prison cells without any water or access to a toilet. As a result, when Celina was released after 12 hours spent in the prison cell, her face and lips were visibly swollen.
