Alberto and his family were brutally beaten during the Mother's day

The regime forces took the occasion of the celebration of the Mother's Day to brutally oppress Rosa, the representative of Ladies in White of Holguin. Alberto was walking with his family to the cemetery to put flowers on his mother- in-law grave, when they were intercepted by a truck from which ran out several individuals armed with sticks and started beating them. The beating was so excessive that Alberto had to be taken to the Lenin hospital, where his spleen was removed surgically and then, he was transferred to recovery room for serious patients; the eldest son was admitted with a fractured skull; Rosa was beaten on the head and the two minor children were threatened with killing them.
