Bartolo was detained in the Calixto García Street and La Avenida at about 6 am by the State Security officials (DSE) known as Edwin Jefferson or Kevin and Luis Angel or Roberto. The detention took place when he was on his way to the Santa Catalina de Ricci Church in order to attend the Mass which is carried out there. He was then put in the patrol car no. 616 and taken to the DSE detention center: He was released at aboout 6:10 am on the same day without any further consequences.
