Jorge Sánchez Iber was detained on the street by sector police chief of the zone Center along with officials from the Ministry of the Interior (MININT). After that he was driven to the police unit called Parque 24 where he was threatened for an alleged crime of defamation against the regime. In reality, Sánchez Iber was expressing his views on the current situation in the country and the need for increasing the salaries. Meanwhile, he was also singing a song called Homeland and Life. He was warned and threatened that if he continued doing the same, he would be prosecuted for defamation. He was released on the same days after 8 hours and half in detention.
