Eliecer Palma is a reporter and a human rights activist. On 27 October 2018, he was supposed to travel to Spain in order to attend a training. He arrived at the José Martí International Airport, Terminal 3 and made his check-in. Then he approched the migration officers and showed his passport. The officers scanned the passport, looked at the database and informed him that he would not be able to travel. According to them, his travel status has been restricted and he cannot leave the country. Consequently, Eliecer could not make his trip neither participate in the course he was already registered for.
