Around 12:30, lawyer and defendent of human rights, Calixto Evaristo Miranda Landeiro, was detained. He belongs to the Agronomist Current of independent lawyers in Cuba, as well as the Legal Department and Civil Instruction. In the detainment, he was transferred to the municipal police unit of Sandino and remained in the cell until 16:30. He was interrogated and accused of intent to attract people to the opposing side. They detained him illegally and without giving him any confirmation about the confiscation of 50 lbs of mango that he received as a gift from his friend. The political police officials manifested that they were only complying with orders from their superiors and in reality there was no crime for which they could punish him. He was warned that he could no longer come to the municipality of Sandino for his counterrevolutionary activities.
