Police confiscates the shopping and money from a man with brain damage

Ronaldo Campos Hechvarría went on August 2, 2018 at 10:00 AM to El Encanto shopping mall in Velasco of the Gibara municipality, where he made a legal purchase of six bottles of detergents. When he returned home, the first lieutenant of the Local Police Unit, Redy Chadmán Martínez, intercepted him. He searched him and took the purchased detergents and 287.00 CUP (12€) away from him violently. Later, on the way to the Police Unit, Ronaldo told Redy that after a cerebral stroke he suffers from dysphasia, which impairs his communication. The lieutenant mocked him and told him to shut up. In the police Unit, Ronaldo explained that his purchase was legal. The police still fined him for parking and when they returned him the money which was taken from him, they told him that he will need to use it to pay the fine. The entire event lasted an hour and a half.
