A man detained and threatened for participating in a public protest against low wages and high prices in Banes (a case of Carlos Ricardo Reyes Cruz)



The victim Carlos Ricardo Reyes Cruz participated in a public protest against the low wages of the workers and the high prices of food for the population. The military gives Carlos Ricardo very low prices. They took him very poor quota of milk sold to children at age 7. All this oriented, and led by their national delegate of the Cuban Revolutionary Party. About 10 troops arrived in a small bus, they handcuffed him, then forcibly pushed him with other activists in the bus. Once inside the bus, they began to insult and threaten him. The victim testifies already in the police station he was dragged. He stayed with other activists for several hours until they began take them one by one for questioning, threaten. Carlos Ricardo said that before releasing he was threatened with imprisonment.
