Activist fined for alleged energy usurpation



On the morning of 16 th November, the electricity company inspector Alexander Echevarria was sent to the activist's home to impose a $500 Cuban pesos (20€) fine for allegedly usurping electricity, even though he had already reported that the meter was not working properly. The inspector assured that he was only following orders from his superiors. In protest, the activist began to yell anti-government slogans for several days.
