At 2:30 pm the artist Luis Manuel Otero Alcantara was arrested outside his home. He was forbidden to leave because of the call made by sectors of the LGTBIQ community to protest in front of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television. During the process of the artist's arrest, Claudia Genlui was reduced with extreme violence, apparently for trying to document the arrest. She was beaten by a female police officer, thrown to the ground, and left on the street without any process. Her cell phone was confiscated without any documentation or search. The next day a group of people went to the National Directorate of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) to request information about the state of the detainee. The police response was given by an officer with badge number 10836, with the rank of Major, who inquired into the police system's network and confirmed that the artist is in the processing center for detainees, known as "the Vivac", accused of property damage. They were also informed that he will be subjected to "abbreviated summary judgment" which happens within 10 days according to the current legal system.
