Yunior Berges González, an independent journalist from the Press Freedom Association (APLP), was arrested in the morning hours on the street in Bayamo. After that he was driven to the Provincial Center for Crimes against State Security where he was kept for more than 24 hours. During that period, Berges González was threatened and the officials spoke about his alleged link to terrorists. They also took his phone and later on returned it to him with shattered screen, when they threw it against the floor and hit it with some solid object.
