Director of the CEC interrogated for his trip to the United States

Dagoberto Valdés Hernández, head of the Coexistence Study Center (CEC) based in Pinar del Río, was summoned by the State Security for interrogation due to his trip to the United States. The interrogation was scheduled to take place at the Emmigration Department in the Police Station in Pinar del Río. When he arrived, he was received by Major Joaquín and Captain José, both from the State Security. The questions were focused on Dagoberto's participation in the annual conference organized by the Association for the Study of the Cuban Economy (ASCE) which took place in August in Miami. The interrogation took two hours and Dagoberto sees this as a harassment method used against him and other members of the organization.
