Yanesis and her husband were in a club in Baracoa, where the militants came to detain her husband for an alleged crime of assault that had occurred a day earlier. Yanesis tried to explain that her husband could not have been the perpetrator because at the time he was with her in another city. The officers told her to shut up. She continued begging them for not to take him, but she was not successful and they detained her too. After a few hours, they let her go with a fine of 300 pesos.
