María Cristina has been detained since July 12 in the Guatao prison. The activist is accused of organizing the July 11 protests in the municipality of Quivicán, Mayabeque. She was beaten by police officers in prison and forced to shout "Long live Fidel!" In prison she is accused of charges such as: assault, contempt of court, public disorder.
