UPC activist is detained during 78 hours for protesting in favor of the release of political prisoners from July 11.



On January 14, 2022, Ana Iris Miranda Leiva, activist of La Unión Patriótica de Cuba, was detained by the police and state security. She was transferred to the Penal Process called Perdeneles, where she went on hunger strike. The only thing Anairis did was to protest for the liberation of the political prisoners from July 11. Anairis was threatened with imprisonment and was released on January 17, after spending 78 hours in detention.
