Activist detained for 72 hours in order to prevent him from leaving the province

Roger, a human rights defender, was detained when he was on his way to the province of Santiago de Cuba. When the bus was passing through the provincial checkpoint, two police officers got on the bus and asked all passengers for their IDs to check them with the list of people who were banned from travelling on that day based on the information provided from the State Security. Roger's name was on the list, so the officers put him to their patrol car no. 637 and drove him to the police unit known as Parque 24. He was kept there for 72 hours and then released. He was also warned that if he tried to travel, he would be prosecuted for disobedience.
