Yoanny Beltrán Gamboa, the Patriotic Union of Cuba coordinator in Gunatánamo, was on his way to Santiago de Cuba to attend Mass which was being held to demand the release of political prisoners and the end of political repression against civil society in Cuba. At 7 am, he was detained in Carlos Manuel and Santa Rita street, handcuffed and put to the patrol car. State Security official known as Kevin or also Jefferson ordered to take him to the operation center where he was kept until 9 pm and then released.
