An arbitrarily detained activist accused of a crime of theft denying him a right to medical assistance (Camagüey)



August 14, in the early morning law enforcement officers appeared at Cecilio Pol Fal's home to a record under the pretext of the crime of burglary. Cecilio declared his disagreement with this way of procedure. It was forced to obedience being driven to the station of the PNR. He was detained for 72 hours. His mother was informed of his arrest. Cecilio was accused for spreading posters against the government. Without evidence against him he was released. They did not provide medical care to Cecilio having injuries, he went to the head of emergency hospital. They denied him medical certificate to justify his absence in his job. Thus they forced him give reason for it again. He lost his source of income for supporting of his family.
