Leonor, along with other members of the Ladies in White, was arrested by law enforcement officers, when she was going to Sunday Mass. She began to shout critical statements about the government, and was immediately repressed and handcuffed, hurting her wrists. Then, she was put in a patrol car and taken to the police unit. There she was threatened and after six hours was released. She was threatened with prosecution if she continued with her actions.
